
After a close loss to Copper Mountain College on Friday, the Olympian men's basketball team rebounded with a 67-57 victory over LA Valley College. The win brings the Olympians' overall record to 3-2, putting them above .500 for the season.
The Olympians played well from the start and built a 9-point lead (33-24) going into halftime. Jaydon Hall led the Olympians with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, shooting an impressive 5 of 7 from the three-point line. Coming off the bench, Elijah Hall contributed 10 points, 2 rebounds, and a block. Jett Wilson added 8 points, 2 assists, and a rebound.
A key factor in the win was the Olympians' dominance on the boards. They boxed out well and outrebounded the Monarchs 49-38.
The Olympians return to action on Friday, November 22, hosting a tough Chaffey College team. The Panthers boast a 4-2 record and are led by the dynamic guard Uriyah Rojas, who averages an impressive 20 points per game. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
