The MSJC women's soccer team saw their season end on Wednesday with a 3-1 loss at Santiago Canyon in the opening round of the 3C2A Regional playoffs.

The Eagles and the Hawks played a scoreless first half as Daisy Reyes made five saves for MSJC. Santiago Canyon then erupted for three goals in a six-minute span of the second half to take control of the match. The Hawks scored in the 51st, 52nd, and 57th minutes to open a 3-0 lead. The Eagles only goal of the match came in the 74th minute when Nathali Gasca scored unassisted to make the final score 3-1.

MSJC was making their third straight post season appearance and finished the year with a record of 10-8-5. The Eagles finished third in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference. Santiago Canyon will advance to the second round of the Regional on Saturday when they travel to Mt. SAC.

This past weekend four Eagles were honored for their play this season as the All IEAC teams were announced. Ava Berger and Haylee Chilton both earned First Team All-League honors while Gasca and Lorena Gonzalez were named to the Second Team.
