SAN FRANCISCO – Keianna Pineda and Serawit Ezra both scored 5 goals each to help lead the City College of San Francisco women's water polo team to a big 19-4 rout of visiting Laney College on Wednesday.
The Coast Conference victory improved the Rams to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Pineda got the Rams off to an impressive start, scoring four of her five goals in the first quarter. CCSF jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the opening period and led 14-0 at halftime.
Pineda added 3 assists and 3 steals to her big game while Ezra had an assist and 4 steals. CCSF got a pair of goals each from Naomi Meng, Remy Dizon, and Hilary Taveras while Cristina Bracamontes, Shannon Ferrall, and Siena Chiala also scored.
Shanagh Dely was solid in goal, posting a season-high 14 saves for the Rams. She also had 3 steals.
The Rams are back in action on Friday (Oct. 11) when they host West Valley College in a Coast Conference game.
