
TAFT, CA – On Friday, November 15, Taft College Women's Volleyball played against College of the Sequoias. For the last conference game of the season, the Lady Cougars were looking to end on a good note.
Sequoias had their sophomore night and came out strong winning the first set 25-22. Taft was not going to let up and came back to win the next 3 sets, 25-15, 25-21, 26-24.
The Lady Cougars put down 58 kills, 10 service aces, and 95 digs. Grace Witcher had 18 kills, Ariana Helbling had 33 assists and Sutton Thompson had 21 digs.
"COS took us by surprise in the first set, but we rallied together and came back to win in three straights sets. Overall, the conference was exciting. I cannot wait to see what state entails," said sophomore outside hitter McCall Crippen.
Taft now awaits their next match for post season playoff pairings.
