TAFT, CA - On Wednesday November 13, Taft College Volleyball challenged Porterville College at the Al Baldock Cougar Sports Center. After a tough loss last Wednesday, the Lady Cougars were looking to redeem themselves with a win over Porterville.
Porterville came out firing in the first set taking an early lead, but the Lady Cougars were not giving it up. TC came back and won the first set 25-19 followed by the second set 25-12 and finished the game 25-11 in the third set.
"I don't think we were expecting such a huge fight from Porterville, but we as a team showed up with great discipline and drive to put another win under our belts. We have been working so hard to come together and play as a family these past few weeks and I truly felt the love and support stronger than ever tonight. I look forward to what our post season will bring us," said sophomore libero Sutton Thompson.
The Lady Cougars will be on the road on Friday, November 15 to College of the Sequoias to play their final conference game.
