Tigers Sweep Singles Play, Defeat Orange Coast 8-1

Singles play handed the Riverside City College men's tennis team a huge advantage on the road Thursday afternoon against the Orange Coast College Pirates in conference action. The Tigers clawed through a pair of three set matches and cruised the rest of the way leading to a commanding victory.

Freshman Rafael Rullan set the tone as the top singles player by hauling in a three-set victory after dropping the first set, 3-6. He continued on to win 6-3, 7-6. Freshman Luca Braan followed with an impressive three-set, come from behind victory as well (3-6, 6-2, 10-5).

Freshman Felicien Adam, Carlos Rullan, Maurice Nolan and Max Myers each earned two-set wins to follow.

Braan and Adam teamed up as the number two doubles team and worked an 8-5 win, while freshman Anant Bhika and Nolan earned a commanding 8-1 win.
