Riverside City College couldn't hold off Santiago Canyon College in a five-inning, 8-0 loss Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers slip to 8-20 on the year, 1-9 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Hawks improve to 9-17 overall and 3-7 in conference.
Raquel Razo had the lone hit for the Tigers with a single in the bottom of the second, but it didn't spark the RCC offense as Santiago Canyon kept the home team in check.
The Tigers and Hawks continue the series on Thursday at 3 p.m., this time at Santiago Canyon.
