Women's Basketball Dominate in Second Straight Road Win

The Olympian women's basketball team continued their impressive start to the season with a decisive 57-44 victory over the Santa Ana College Dons. This is the team's second consecutive road win, following a strong 66-56 performance against Cypress College in November.  

Currently participating in the annual Santa Ana College Tournament, the Olympians will continue their campaign today at 4:00 p.m against L.A. Harbor College. 

Alethze Marquez led the charge against the Dons, who had only suffered one prior loss to Cuesta College. Marquez delivered, racking up a season-high 23 points and pulling down 17 rebounds. Alivia Gillespie, the team's season leading scorer,  notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, along with 2 steals and an assist. Rylie Willis provided 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Freshman Stevie Lundquist made an impact on both ends of the court, chipping in 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Rayleen Moreno dished out a game high 7 assists while also contributing 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. 

Through seven games, the Olympians are averaging 65 points and 46 rebounds per game and carry with them a solid 6-1 overall record.
