Women's Soccer hosted Glendale College last night, Tuesday, October 22nd for their seventh conference game of the season which resulted in a tough 1-0 loss.

Citrus College moves to 9-2-1 on the season and 5-2 in conference games while Glendale College improves to 6-6-2 overall and 2-4-1 in conference games.

Early on the Owls were on the attack, taking six shots in the first 20 minutes of play including a shot from Aubrianna Mejia that rattled off the crossbar in the 2nd minute.

After firing off 11 total shots in the first half, the Owls were unable to find a goal as the score remained 0-0 at halftime. The Vaqueros only took one shot in the first half which was saved by Liliana Miramontes.

In the second half Citrus continued to be aggressive but could not capitalize on their opportunities and the seven second half shots they took did not result in goals. In the 70th minute, the Vaqueros miraculously scored on a breakaway goal to go up 1-0. After taking the lead, Glendale College worked to limit the Owls' opportunities by clearing the ball at all costs up until the end of the game.

After two tough losses back-to-back Citrus College hope to bounce back this Friday, October 25th when they host LA Valley College in a conference game at 3 p.m.
