Chaffey opened the IEAC season yesterday afternoon with a 10-9 win over San Bernardino Valley.
The Wolverines took a 2nd inning 2-0 lead but the Panthers' stead series of runs would ultimately give Chaffey the conference win.
infielder Katie Avellaneda led the Panthers with three runs, four hits, and one RBI. Vivian Medinilla had two runs, three hits (including a triple), and three RBIs.
Amanda Sera spent just over four innings on the mound facing 23 batters. Brooklyn Fristrom pitched 2.2 against 13 batters in the home win.
Chaffey hosts a double against LA Valley on Friday and a double against Santa Barbara Saturday.
