Owls Down Jets in Home Opener

Men's Basketball hosted San Diego Miramar tonight in their first home game of the 2024-25 season, defeating the Jets 90-65. 

Citrus improves to 2-1 on the season while San Diego Miramar drops to 0-4 on the season. 

Citrus College held San Diego Miramar to 38.8% from the field and 23.8% from three while they shot 46.8% from the field and 37.9% from three. 

The Owls outrebounded the Jets 46-35 and scored 19 second chance points compared to SD Miramar's seven. Citrus also held a 32-22 advantage in points in the paint while scoring eight more points off turnovers than SD Miramar. 

Luis Marin led the team with 15 points off the bench and added five rebounds and two assists. Tyler Isaak scored 14 points with nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. Brady Cook chipped in 13 points off the bench on 5-7 from the field and added 6 rebounds. Blake Ballard hit both his three-point attempts while scoring 10 points. The Owls' defense was on full display tonight as Amiri Meadows, KJ Perry and Malik Khouzam all recorded two steals in the win. 

Citrus College will begin a stretch of three road games when they visit Riverside City College next Tuesday, November 12th for a game at 5 p.m.
