Palomar struck early, with Emily Thompson opening the scoring unassisted in the 7th minute. The Comets came out firing after halftime, as Abigail Reyes doubled the lead just seconds into the second half, assisted by Zusi Moran. Maddie Spielman then added to the lead in the 53rd minute with an unassisted goal.
Zusi Moran contributed an unassisted strike of her own in the 56th minute, making it 4-0. Reyes struck again in the 59th minute off a feed from Macey Edemann and completed her hat trick just two minutes later, thanks to an assist from Nadia Shimasaki. Spielman capped off the scoring with her second unassisted goal in the 80th minute.
Goalkeepers Gianna Velasco and Kaylee Cole split time, with Velasco recording one save in 62 minutes of action. Cole closed out the match, helping Palomar maintain their clean sheet.
