The MSJC women's soccer team opened their season last week with a pair of matches as they took on Southwestern at home and traveled to Mt. SAC.

In the season opener against Southwestern on Friday August 23rd at HCN Bank Stadium the Eagles fell behind 2-0 at halftime and could not recover as they lost to the Jaguars 3-0.  MSJC was able to get three shots on goal but each one was turned away.  In goal Ashlyn Goade got the start and played the first half making 3 saves, while Daisy Reyes played the second half and had two saves.

MSJC traveled to Mt. SAC on August 30th and again had a tough time finding the back of the net as they lost to the Mounties 2-0.  Mt. SAC was able to score the first goal of the match in the 32nd minute and would tack on another in the 80th for the victory.  The Eagles managed to get off 5 shots on goal.  Reyes played all 90 minutes in goal for MSJC making 7 saves.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Palomar for a 6:30 match.  MSJC will be back at HCN Bank Stadium in Menifee on Friday when they host Long Beach City at 4 pm.
