Owls Take Down Lancers

The Citrus College Women's Basketball team traveled to Pasadena City College last night, Tuesday, November 26th to pick up a 93-62 win.
Citrus College improves to 5-1 on the season while Pasadena City College falls to 1-5 overall on the year.
The Owls potent offense was on display on Tuesday night as they shot 54% from the field on 63 field goal attempts while hitting nine three-pointers in route to their highest scoring game of the season.
The Lancer kept the game close in the first quarter, only trailing by three points at the end of the first 10 minutes. The Owls pulled away in the second quarter, turning their three-point lead into a 10-point halftime lead.
After a closer third quarter in which the Owls scored 22 compared to the Lancers 20, Citrus College outscored PCC 25-6 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
The Owls were led in scoring by Jolleen Olia 25 points on 9-12 from the field while adding six assists, five steals and four rebounds. Lelani Argueta scored 24 points and hit a game-high seven three-pointers. Samantha Martinez had 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Kristin Morella had 16 points off the bench and added six assists and five steals. Deija Mitchell chipped in seven points and seven rebounds off the bench.
The Owls will play host Fullerton College next Tuesday, December 3rd at 5 p.m. with hopes of keeping their five-game winning streak alive.
