TAFT, CA – On Saturday, November 30, Taft College Women's Volleyball challenged Sierra College for the third round of playoffs and battled for a spot in the state tournament.
#4 seed Sierra College played a great game that the Lady Cougars could not keep up with. Sierra College took 3 straight sets over #5 seed Taft College. Unfortunately, this brings the Lady Cougars season to an end.
"In sports, only one team gets to end their season with a win, and unfortunately, it wasn't us this time. We faced a great team tonight against Sierra and the loss stings to the core. But the journey, the growth, the life lessons, and the memories we've made are worth so much more than wins and losses. I am beyond proud of our Cougar Volleyball Team and the achievements we accomplished together. The hard work, dedication, and commitment will always make this season unforgettable," said Taft Head Volleyball Coach Mallori Rossi.
Taft ends their season with a 27-5 overall record, ranked #11 in the state and a second place standing in the Central Valley Conference. They will continue to train for the next season in the spring.
