
VISALIA – City College of San Francisco added a pair of wins to its hot start to the 2024-25 season over the weekend at the College of the Sequoias Giants Classic. The Rams set a new scoring season-high in a 125-89 victory over Los Angeles Southwest College on Saturday and closed the two-day event on Sunday with a 93-77 win over Contra Costa College.

Seven different Rams scored in double figures in the huge win over the Cougars in Visalia. The Rams made 46 of 80 shots in the contest including 15 three-pointers.
King-Njhsanni Wilhite led CCSF with 15 points while John Squire, Rickey Mitchell Jr., and Ray-John Spears all scored 14 points each. Antonio Pulsateri contributed 12 points and 7 rebounds while Jalen Glenn added 11 points and 5 assists.
San Francisco 93, Contra Costa 77
Wilhite had a big game with 22 points and 5 assists in just 18 minutes on the court to lead the Rams in the win over Contra Costa. He shot 10 for 15 from the floor.
Mitchell Jr. had a solid all-around game with 12 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, and a block. James Moore added 11 points and Dominic Williams totaled 10 points and 4 boards.
The Rams built a 51-31 halftime lead and never were threatened.
No. 1 State Ranking
On Monday, CCSF was named the No. 1 team in this week's California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) State Poll.
The Rams are one of eight unbeaten teams remaining in the state. Five of those teams, including CCSF, occupy a spot in the Coast Conference North Division.
San Francisco's next opponent, defending state champion West Valley College is 5-1 and ranked No. 2. The two squads will battle on Friday (Nov. 22) in Saratoga at 5:30 p.m.
