Sierra College Volleyball wrapped up a challenging pre-season with an impressive 11-3 record, finishing with a 5-set loss to San Mateo and a 5-set win against Fresno. The win was a team effort, with strong performances on both offense and defense. Defensively, sophomores Sophia Guerrero and Molly Fowler led the way with 30 and 20 digs, respectively. On offense, Jordyn Deter delivered 48 assists, distributing the ball to Taylor Stolz (12 kills), Paige Skinner (16 kills), and Wyievee Binda (16 kills). Heading into conference play, the Wolverines are ranked 4th in the state, behind two other Big 8 Conference teams. Their first conference match is at home on Wednesday, September 18, against Modesto, with the game starting at 6:30 PM.
