The MSJC women's soccer team finally had a chance to get back on the field Tuesday after two cancelations from opposing teams.

The Eagles picked up a pair of forfeit wins last Wednesday and Friday due to cancelations by both Imperial Valley and Porterville but got back on the pitch Tuesday when they hosted Orange Coast College at HCN Bank Stadium in Menifee.

Orange Coast came out quickly as they scored the day's first goal just 8 minutes into the match when Kelsey Woodruff scored unassisted.  Both defenses would settle in the rest of the half and the Pirates led at the break 1-0.

MSJC would score the equalizer in the 56th minute on a goal from Shelby Page.  The teams each had a couple of chances down the stretch, but neither could find the back of the net and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Ashlyn Goade played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles making 4 saves.

MSJC is now 3-2-2 on the season and will return to action on Friday when they travel to Rio Hondo for a 4 pm match.
