TAFT, CA – On Wednesday October 16, The Taft College Volleyball Team challenged College of the Sequoias for the last game of the first round of conference play. The Lady Cougars were determined to win to end off the first round of conference on a good note.
The Lady Cougars were unstoppable tonight and defeated COS in 3 straight sets (25-16, 26-24, 25-15). TC put down 41 kills, 63 digs, and 6 aces.
"Our team stepped onto the court ready to battle tonight. COS played a great game, but our defense helped us remain in control throughout the match. Shyanne and Sutton weren't letting anything touch the floor and Jayde and Natalie took control at the net with 5 blocks each. It was an Incredible team effort!" said Taft College Head Volleyball Coach Mallori Rossi.
Taft will be on the road to play conference foe Coalinga College on Friday, October 18. Taft defeated Coalinga earlier in this season in three sets.
