
TAFT, CA - On Friday, November 1, Taft College Women's Volleyball challenged Columbia College for one of the Lady Cougars last home games. The Lady Cougars celebrated their 8 sophomores tonight.
TC played very well tonight, everything came together perfectly for the Lady Cougars, the energy, the support, and of course their skill. Taft took all three sets 25-15, followed by 25-10 and 25-9.
Natalie Castillo had 9 kills on 13 attempts with 0 errors, hitting a .692. Grace Witcher had 16 kills, hitting a .480 and 7 service aces Sutton Thompson had 13 digs and 2 service aces.
"Being able to play in front of all our friends and family was so special especially since it was sophomore night. Every game we keep improving and dialing in on our skills. Being able to compete and win together is preparing us for this upcoming post season and I am so excited to see what we can accomplish!" said sophomore team captain Grace Witcher.
The Lady Cougars will travel on Wednesday, November 6 to face Fresno City College and will come back home to play Porterville College on Friday, November 8.
