Riverside City College put together a late rally, but it wasn't enough to overcome Cypress College in a 9-5 loss Monday.
The Tigers drop to 11-27 on the year and 3-16 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Chargers improve to 30-7 overall, 15-4 in conference.
RCC had seven hits in the game, led by Chloe Lockhart's 2-for-4 performance at the plate. Sheila Fernanda Cano, Bobbi Arce, Rebeca Razo, Alysse Flores, and Samantha Sizemore also had hits for the Tigers.
The Tigers and Chargers face each other again on Tuesday at 3 p.m., back at Cypress before closing out the series on Thursday at Riverside.
