VISALIA – Sophomore Noelani Espiritu totaled 8 kills and 8 digs for Porterville College in a 25-20, 25-18, 25-10 Central Valley Conference loss at College of the Sequoias on Friday night.
It was the Pirates' third straight loss after falling to No. 4 Fresno City and No. 15 Taft last week. PC moved to 6-11 overall and 3-6 in Central Valley Conference play.
Porterville couldn't get much going offensively as errors really hurt the Pirates. PC totaled 16 attack errors as well as 7 service errors.
Aliza Bun added 5 kills and 5 digs while Rubi Guzman led the Pirates with 14 digs. Jolina Castaneda posted a team-high 12 assists. Destiny Duran chipped in with 4 kills and Brandi Flores has 6 digs.
Porterville will look to end its streak on Wednesday (Oct. 23) at 6 p.m. but will face another tough CVC opponent, Coalinga College, at home.
