Riverside City College snapped a three-game losing streak Saturday afternoon, grabbing a 59-40 victory over Compton College.
The Tigers improve to 3-3 on the year, while the Tartars left still looking for their first win at 0-6.
N'Dya Parks led the Tigers with 27 points (12-for-22) and 11 rebounds, while Talia Washington followed with 15 points. Ariel Perkins grabbed 11 boards to help RCC dominate the glass 52-to-29.
Riverside jumped out to a 12-6 lead after the first quarter and held a 26-19 upper hand at the half. The Tigers then opened the second half on a 12-0 run to increase their lead to almost 20 points and held on for the 59-40 victory.
The Tigers hit the road for a 6 p.m. contest on Tuesday at the College of the Canyons.
