The MSJC softball team improved to 6-3 on the season after winning three straight games this week.

The Eagles traveled to San Diego City on Tuesday for a doubleheader where they won by scores of 8-2 and 4-3. In the first game MSJC trailed in a pitcher's duel 2-1 heading into the seventh inning before their offense erupted for seven runs to blow the game open. Akaysia Lewis scored the tying run on an error and then a bases loaded walk by Annalie Castanon forced home the go ahead run for MSJC. Trinity Barnes would follow up with a two-run single and Brooke Schaffer also had an RBI as the Eagles pulled away. Ellianna Pasley earned the pitching victory as she threw the first six innings allowing just two unearned runs.

In the second game on Tuesday, MSJC won 4-3 behind a complete game in the circle from Trinity Robinson. Robinson struck out six and allowed just three runs in seven innings of work. Castanon, Schaffer, Bailey Heuer, and Hayley Gano each had an RBI.

Friday the Eagles headed back to San Diego, this time to face Southwestern where they came away with a 9-2 victory. Four runs in both the top of the fourth and top of the sixth kept MSJC in control of the game throughout. Barnes had a big game at the plate with four RBIs while Pasley earned the pitching win going the distance and allowing just two runs.

The Eagles will be back in action at home in Menifee on Tuesday when they host both Imperial Valley and Ventura. MSJC will start the day at 10 am against Imperial and then take on Ventura at 2 pm.
