SAN MARCOS, CA (9/13/2024) -- The Palomar College women's soccer team delivered another impressive performance on Friday, defeating Los Angeles City College 5-0 to notch their second consecutive victory and improve to 2-3 on the season.
Ashley Clark got the Comets on the board early with an unassisted goal, setting the tone for Palomar's offensive onslaught. Naomi Allen followed suit with her own unassisted strike, extending the lead.
Abigail Reyes added to the scoreline, finding the back of the net with help from an assist by Emily Thompson. Nadia Shimasaki then capitalized on a well-placed pass from Macey Edemann, slotting the ball into the corner of the goal. Cameryn Clark capped off the scoring with the fifth and final goal, assisted by her sister, Ashley Clark.
Goalkeeper Giana Velasco continued her solid form in net, playing 60 minutes and making three saves. Kaylee Cole finished out the match, recording two saves during her 30 minutes of play to help secure Palomar's second straight clean sheet.
