The Panthers were on fire Saturday, shutting out Santa Barbara 8-0.
Chaffey set the tone for the game early one scoring four runs in the first inning including a three RBI homer from sophomore Jacob Billings. Billings led the Panthers in homers last year, racking up ten over the course of the season. In the second, rightfielder Devean Alvarez had a sac fly to take the Panther lead to five.
A two RBI single in the 5th by David Loera and an RBI in the 8th by Preston (David) Allen put the game well out of reach of the visiting Vaqueros.
Joseph O'Regan led the Chaffey bullpen, earning his third win of the season after facing 21 batters with nine strikeouts. Donovann Jackson and Andrew Pasillas followed to close out the win.
The Panthers are at Southwestern tomorrow.
