LANCASTER - After an auspicious beginning to the season with a 5-1 record, the Marauder baseball team dropped its fifth game in a row to Cerro Coso College, 15-10, Thursday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
The bats have been their for the Marauders as they have scored 20 runs over the past three games, however, in those games AVC has struggled to get batters out as it has allowed 38 runs and 55 hits.
Of the 15 runs allowed to the Coyotes, only seven were earned runs.
Ethan Avant and Michael Behen each had three hits for the Marauders. Behen had two RBI and Avant had three runs scored.
Cerro Coso exploded for eight runs in the top of the fifth inning after trailing 4-3 to take an 11-4 lead. AVC trailed 15-6 entering the bottom of he eighth inning and scored four runs, but it was not enough.
