
The Golden Eagles Women's Soccer Team knocked off two top opponents in the span of a week. The women first traveled to Sacramento City College on Tuesday, October 22nd and defeated the Panthers 2-1 behind two goals from Rafaela Anguiano and two assists by sophomore Giselle Hamilton . The hard fought battle filled a week void in the Golden Eagles Conference schedule which began the second round of league competition. Feather River opened the 2nd round of play versus College of the Siskiyous (12-1-2 overall, 5-1-1 after the 1st round of conference play) on Tuesday, October 29th. Feather River and College of the Siskiyous tied 1-1 at Siskiyous during the 1st round. The Golden Eagles came away victorious at home 1-0 on Tuesday with a 1st half goal by Averi Puccinelli a sophomore from Susanville, CA and aided by an assist from sophomore Giselle Hamilton from Manteca, CA. Goalkeeper Rhiannon Easley from Long Beach, CA recorded her 5th shutout of the season. Puccinelli has now scored 7 goals on the season, while Hamilton has 5 assists. The Golden Eagles will play next on Friday, November 1st at home versus Shasta College. Sophomore recognition begins at 10:40 AM with game start time set at 11:00 AM. Free hot dogs for all in attendance will be served at 1:00 PM!
