NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PLAYOFFS BRACKET
The Cañada College women's soccer team is headed back to the postseason for the third straight season. On Sunday, the Colts were named the No. 13 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.
Cañada is set to host No. 20-seed College of the Sequoias for a first-round game in Redwood City on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at 2 p.m.
Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.
Under head coach Katie Perkins, the Colts finished third in the Coast Conference South Division at 6-4-1. Cañada enters the postseason with a 11-6-3 overall record. The Colts are playing well at the right time as they are unbeaten over their last four games (3-0-1) with shutouts in all three wins over that span.
No. 20 Sequoias wrapped up the regular season with a 9-6-4 overall record. The Giants finished in third place in the Central Valley Conference with a 7-4-3 mark.
Cañada and Sequoias will be meeting for the first time this season. The winner of Wednesday's contest will travel to No. 4 City College of San Francisco for a second-round game on Saturday (Nov. 23).
Four wins are needed by the Colts to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 6 & 8 at American River College in Sacramento.
