Team Stats
Moorpark
Back home to start off the week, baseball was narrowly out lasted by conference rivals Moorpark.
It was the opening game of a three-game series.
The Brahmas enjoyed a early two run lead, courtesy of a wild pitch and a RBI single by Aaron Ruvalcaba. However, Moorpark would put up a three run inning off Pierce starter Jayden Shim to take the lead. Shim pitched 5 2/3 innings of three run ball. The two teams would trade lead changes until the top of the 7th inning.
Moorpark put up their second three run inning of the day for a 6-4 lead off of Nick Romero. Pierce cut the lead to 6-5, but Moorpark scored two insurance runs. Orion Hahm-Taklender added two RBIs but ultimately the Brahmas fell short 8-5. The loss bring their overall record to 2-14.
They'll now travel to Moorpark on Thursday, March 7. First pitch is at 2:00 p.m.
