SANTA ANA, Calif. - Kelvonte Ellis dropped 25 points with 13 rebounds to lead the SAC Men's Basketball team to a 107-94 win over Moorpark College (2-5) in non-conference action on Wednesday night.
The sophomore from Virginia was efficient, finishing 12-for-16 from the floor while collecting three assists, three blocks and two steals to help the Dons (4-3) get a bounce back win.
It was a great offensive night for SAC as they scored a season high 107 points with 11 players scoring. They shot 51.9 percent from the field and cleaned up their free throw percentage, knocking down 17-of-23 (73.9 percent).
Freshman point guard Camron Swist was aggressive in this one, adding 15 points to go with season high seven assists and seven boards. Sophomore guard Mac West continued to produce with 15 of his own including an emphatic dunk late in the second half.
Jackson Brennan, a freshman forward, stayed in the starting lineup and filled the stat sheet with 12 points, four rebounds, four steals and an assist.
The Dons got good production from their bench once again, outscoring Moorpark 36-30. Tyler Peterson went 3-for-7 from three to lead the bench with nine points while Ja'Von Maxwell posted nine points and three boards.
Kamaury Washington played 23 minutes off the bench, relishing in his sixth man role and scored eight points with seven rebounds and six assists.
Santa Ana will be back in action on Friday to host Rio Hondo (0-4). Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
