Livermore, Calif. - The Butte men's basketball team captured its first win of the season in dominant fashion with a 94-50 rout of the Simpson JV squad to wrap up the Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic at Las Positas on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Marvin Lee led the team with 17 points off the bench, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor and just landing one rebound shy of a double-double. Sophomores Issac Wood and Rolontae Knowles combined for 28 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and from three-point land.
Butte (1-2) resumes play on the road, heading to Diablo Valley to face Merritt on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m.
