Cuesta Women's Water Polo went 2-2 at last weekend's Mt San Antonio Tournament in Walnut. The Cougars split each day, dropping the morning game and winning in the afternoon. On Friday, they fell to Cypress, 13-11, before taking down the host Mounties, 14-13, in overtime. On Saturday Morning, Cuesta took a hard loss against top-ranked Long Beach, 13-1, although they recovered to close out the event with another win over Fullerton, 13-10. Freshman Driver Amelia Braun (pict) missed Cuesta's last tournament but returned to lead the Cougars with a trio of "Hat Tricks" for a team-high nine goals in the tournament. The Cougars are still ranked #9 in the State Poll and boast a 10-7 overall record.
Women's Polo has a bye in the schedule this week but returns to action next week with a Western State Conference game at Ventura on October 9
