Women's Soccer Claims Victory over Reedley, 1-0

Women's Soccer picked up its first win of the campaign with victory over visiting Reedley, 1-0.  The Cougars struck early and relied on their defense to maintain their lead for the last 78 minutes.  Freshman Oneal Hunt netted the day's lone goal on a penalty kick, just 15 minutes into the contest, however Hunt was also flagged with a Yellow Card later in the game.  Freshman Goalkeeper Allison Marble spent the whole game in the nets for the Cougars and collected 13 saves en route to her first collegiate shutout.  Coach Kaleb Lique Naitove said of his team's first win of the season, "Good things are going to happen!   We take a lot of pride in our team and in our school."   The triumph improved the Cuesta Kickers season record to 1-1-1 on the season.

Cuesta Women's Soccer is back in action on the team's home pitch this Friday (2:30), when the Cougars host the DeAnza Mountain Lions for a non-conference meet-up.
