LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team used a 3-0 shutout victory over LA Valley College to snap a three-game losing streak on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (3-4) owned the edge of the field with a 3-0 advantage on corner kicks while finishing +14 over the hosting Monarchs (3-2-1) for shots on-target. Ernest Righetti High School alum, Raquel Schmid, led the effort with three tries on frame.
Ximena Hinojosa put Hancock on the board in the 16th minute with an assist by Zorah Coulibaly. Ruby Graciliano doubled the deficit with an unassisted tally in the 35th before Schmid closed out the scoring for both sided in the 44th after a pass from Sylena Heredia.
Allie Lemmon picked up the shutout win the box after 90 minutes of action, collecting two saves along the way.
The Bulldogs will continue non-conference play with a road trip to College of the Canyons on Tuesday, Sept. 24th.
