This Week: The #3 seed Hawks advanced to the CCCAA Northern California Softball Regional where they will take on the #14 seed Monterey Peninsula College. The Hawks/Lobos matchup will start on Thursday and first pitch of game one will be at 3 pm. 

Scouting the Hawks: Cosumnes River came in second in the Big 8 Conference regular season standings with a 33-7 overall record and a 20-4 record in conference play. Sophomore Malia Babasa leads the Hawks with a .427 batting average. Tatiana Blas leads the Hawks in ERA with a 1.23 ERA.

Scouting the Lobos: The Lobos finished with a 13-24 overall record and finished seventh in the Coast Conference-South Division with a 3-11 record in conference play. Sophomore Sabrina Lopez leads the Lobos with a .376 batting average. Sabrina Lopez leads the Lobos with a 3.71 ERA.

Last Time Out: This will be the third meeting between the two schools this season. The Hawks won the first meeting 11-3 on January 26^th in Monterey and 4-2 on January 27^th in Monterey

The two teams have 10 common opponents – American River College, College of San Mateo, Feather River College, Folsom Lake College, Fresno City College, Ohlone College, Sacramento City College, San Joaquin Delta College, San Jose City College and Sierra College. The Hawks went 16-7 against those opponents while the Lobos went 5-12
