The state #3-ranked Pasadena City College women's soccer team broke the school record for longest win streak as the Lancers won their seventh straight, 2-0 at Orange Coast College on Friday afternoon.

The Lancers (perfect 7-0 on the season) were in a scoreless tie with the Pirates until the 78th minute when Hailey Hull slipped a pass by a OCC defender to Angely Puga, who chipped a shot into the right corner over charging Pirates' goalie Leila Saldic.

Hull then added an insurance goal just three minutes later as she headed in a kick by Delilah Vazquez. Ironically, when PCC beat Orange Coast, 2-1, in last year's non-conference matchup at Robinson Stadium, the two players hooked up on the game-winning goal with Hull scoring on a Vazquez assist.

Francesca Agliolo made three saves to record the team's sixth shutout of the year.

PCC controlled most of the second half in outshooting OCC, 12-3, and 18-7 overall.

The 7-match win streak snaps the previous record of six set first in 2001 (Aug. 28-Sept. 7) and then in 2017 (Aug. 25-Sept. 19).

Last year, the team started the year on a school-record, 13-game undefeated streak, but that included four ties.

Pasadena is an impressive 4-0 on a 5-game road trip adding the Orange Coast win to previous victories over Saddleback, Taft and Santa Barbara City.

Coach Terryn Soelberg's squad next plays at Citrus College under the lights at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
