The game began with both teams struggling to find offensive rhythm. The Eagles trailed 11-10 after the first quarter as they shot just 4-for-15 from the field. Ohlone's Thadar Set and Tia Stevenson kept the Renegades ahead early, combining for 9 first-quarter points.
The second quarter saw Ohlone expand their lead with an 11-0 run fueled by Mahek Dhillon, who showcased her inside scoring and composure at the free-throw line. The Eagles' offense sputtered, with missed three-point attempts leaving them down 32-23 at halftime.
Coming out of the break, LA Mission found their spark. Jennasis Burch energized the Eagles with a series of steals and transition buckets, scoring 9 of her team-high 17 points in the third quarter. Crystal Pasaye and Lily Cornejo also chipped in key baskets to help the Eagles outscore Ohlone 19-10 in the quarter, trimming the deficit to 42-41.
The final quarter belonged to the Eagles' defense. Krystal Pineda anchored the paint with critical rebounds and a block, while Cornejo's clutch three-pointer midway through the period gave LA Mission their first lead since the opening quarter. Despite late-game pressure from Ohlone's Stevenson, who finished with a game-high 17 points, the Eagles held their composure at the free-throw line to secure the win.
