Irvine Valley women's soccer battles, but falls at COD, 2-0

The Irvine Valley women's soccer team battles, but drops its second game of the season, falling to College of the Desert, 2-0, Friday on the road.

Irvine Valley's record went to 4-2-0 overall.

The Lasers host East Los Angeles College on Tuesday at home.

IVC took six shots on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net.

Freshman keeper Joanna Valdez made six saves in goal.

Irvine Valley took 15 shots in the match, led by freshman Kuuipo Laumatia with five shots and three on goal.

After playing East LA on Tuesday, the Lasers will start Orange Empire Conference play on Tues., Oct. 1 at Saddleback.
