Five different scorers for the Santiago Canyon College women's soccer team distanced themselves from the Santa Ana College Dons in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Mia Lussier etched the first goal on the scoresheet after a deep corner was returned by Alyssa Marino for Lussier to stab home from close range. Sophomore Jackie Arroyo headed home the second score off a cross from sophomore Christina Benavides cross, and freshman Clarissa Huerta nodded home the third goal to put the Hawks up 3-0 at halftime.
Santa Ana continued to fight, but a fourth goal form sophomore Sam Aguila sealed the contest. Freshman Anna Cowdell capped things off with a fifth goal from off a Marino cross.
Makayla Worcester collected the shut-out in goal en route to three saves and a victory.
