Hawks win 4th straight, knock off Gavilan
LPC won its fourth consecutive game Friday, defeating Gavilan 85-63 in the first round of the Skyline Tournament in San Bruno.
The Hawks, who debuted in the Northern California rankings this week at #13, improved to their nonconference record to 7-5. They take Bakersfield at 5 p.m. Saturday in a semifinal game.
Bakersfield, which defeated Redwoods 95-66 in another first-round game, is 7-1, ranked #7 in Southern California, and has won 6 games in a row.
Cameron Moses led five LPC players in double-figure scoring with 17 points against Gavilan (3-5). Moses also added 8 assists.
Other top performers were McKayle Harnell (16 points, 6 rebounds), Keith Hunter (15 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 4 steals), Brandon Eboigbodin (14 points, 12 rebounds), and Aaron Berry (13 points, 3 assists).
