Kau wins two matches at Chabot
HAYWARD – For the second straight contest, the Cañada College women's tennis team came up just short in a 5-4 loss at Chabot College on Tuesday.
The Colts are still in search of their first win this season and are off to a tough 0-3 start. On Friday, Cañada was edged 5-4 at Cabrillo College in Aptos.
Kathy Kau won both her matches on Tuesday for the Colts. She teamed up with Kathryn Chou at No. 1 doubles to take down Maya Vanness and Santana Rigor by a final score of 8-3. She also took her No. 1 singles match, beating Rigor 6-1, 5-4.
The Colts' other two wins came by forfeit.
Cañada will look to snap its skid on March 12 when the Colts travel to West Valley College for a Coast Conference match at 2 p.m.
