Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team rallied for a great win to keep its season alive.
The Lasers were down two sets to one, but figured things out and came back for a 25-16, 23-25, 26-28, 25-14, 15-8 win on Friday in an Orange Empire Conference match on the road at Fullerton.
Irvine Valley moved its record to 8-15 overall and 8-7 in conference.
Laser freshman opposite Hailey Oldham finished with 19 kills and 13 digs for Irvine Valley.
Sophomore Alya Mersin ended with 12 kills, 19 digs and one block, sophomore outside hitter Audrey Fowler had 11 kills and 17 digs, sophomore Kayla Torres finished with 16 digs and freshman setter Alondra Castro ran the offense with 46 assists and added 13 digs.
Irvine Valley plays again and finishes the regular season on Tuesday at Santiago Canyon in a conference match at 6 p.m.
