SAN JOSE – Aniyah Hall totaled 13 kills while Madison Low added 12 kills to help lead No. 18 state-ranked College of San Mateo to a 25-12, 25-15, 25-19 Coast Conference sweep at San Jose City College on Friday.
It was the Bulldogs' third straight sweep and fifth of the winning streak. CSM improved to 17-6 overall and is currently tied for first place in the Coast Conference South Division standings with West Valley College at 7-1.
San Mateo hit .326 for the match against San Jose City. Hall and Low provided most of the offense with Sina Leha'uli adding 9 kills.
Abbi Sanchez paced the offense with 33 assists. Alexa Rentar served up 4 aces and had 4 digs.
CSM opened the week with a 25-19, 25-18, 25-19 win over Ohlone College at home on Wednesday. The victory avenged the Bulldogs' lone conference loss from earlier in the season.
Hall led with 14 kills, Leha'uli added 11 kills and 5 aces, while Sanchez posted 30 assists.
Just three regular-season matches remain on the schedule. The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday (Nov. 6) when they host Skyline College at 6:30 p.m. before next Friday's (Nov. 8) huge match at West Valley College that could decide the Coast Conference South Division championship.
