The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team finished its non-conference schedule Friday night against Pasadena City at home.
IVC starts Orange Empire Conference play next Friday, hosting Riverside City at 6 p.m.
IVC fell to Pasadena City, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23, 25-12.
Irvine Valley went to 0-8 overall and Pasadena City improved its record to 5-7.
Pasadena City had a season-high 98 digs and had 15 aces compared to three for the Lasers.
The Lasers were led by freshman opposite Hailey Oldham with 16 kills and three blocks.
Sophomore outside hitter and sophomore outside hitter Audrey Fowler finished with 27 digs.
Freshman setter Emmi Scelzo contributed 32 assists and 10 digs for the Lasers.
And sophomore libero Nikki Korneff added 21 digs for IVC in the match.
