Nunez 2 goals, Rivera nets game-winner in 3-2 Crush win over Folsom Lake

Freshman Andres Nunez scored twice while freshman Jose Rivera's goal in the 76th minute proved to be the game-winner in Clovis Community College's 3-2 non-conference win over visiting Folsom Lake College on Tuesday.
With the victory, the Crush improved to 9-3-2 overall and are unbeaten over five of their last six games.
Clovis trailed early in the contest as Folsom Lake went up 1-0 thanks to a goal by Ricardo Miranda in the 15th minute. But Clovis responded with the first of two goals by Nunez in the 23rd minute. Nunez struck again in the 38th minute to give the Crush a 2-1 lead that they would take into halftime.
Miranda once again tied up the contest in the 58th minute after his penalty-kick goal beat Clovis keeper Robby Rosas. Miranda had another chance to put Folsom Lake ahead in the 62nd minute, but his penalty shot went wide left.
Moments later, Saul Allen Sanchez set up Rivera for the game-winning goal. Sanchez posted two assists in the contest with Rivera adding an assist to his goal.
Clovis will look to improve on its two-game winning streak when the Crush travel to Cosumnes River College on Friday (Oct. 18) fir a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
