MiraCosta Dominates in Conference Play

In their last two conference games the MiraCosta women's soccer team has been dominant, scoring a combined 15 goals while shutting out San Diego City and Imperial Valley.

Against City College, Charley Diaz scored two goals after an impressive 17 shots on goal. Other goals were scored by Lena Bahman, Joey Freas, Raigan Jager, Shelby Maldonado and Heidi Alarcon. The Spartan defense was as dominant as the offense, led by center back Raigan Jager.  City only found four shots on during the 90 minutes match.

Against Imperial Valley College the MiraCosta offense showed up in full force again. Shelby Maldonado and Madison White both scored twice.  The team's relentless offensive attack ended with 30 shots on goal. Other goals were scored by Lena Bachman, Ashley Cazares, Jade Valentine and Mackinley Menkee.

MiraCosta is next in action on Tuesday, October 1 against rival Palomar College. The kick off is set for 3pm at MiraCosta College in Oceanside.
