LIVERMORE – Jalen Patterson scored a game-high 24 points while Brandon Fisher supplied a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 13 rebounds to help lead the Las Positas College Hawks to an 84-76 non-conference win over visiting Napa Valley College on Friday night.
LPC, ranked No. 10 in the CCCMBCA Northern California Preseason Poll, won its second straight to improve to 5-1 overall.
The Hawks jumped out to a seven-point lead at halftime, 36-29, and were able to hold off the Storm (1-5) in the second.
Isaiah Victor added 17 points to the win. Jordahn Johnson nearly had a double-double, posting 9 points and 12 rebounds. And Jaden Phillips chipped in with 7 points.
Las Positas returns to action on Wednesday (Nov. 23) at 5:30 p.m. when the Hawks travel to No. 7 San Jose City College for a Coast Conference interdivision game.
