The MiraCosta College women's beach volleyball team traveled to San Jose for the 3C2A team state championship.  After two close matches their magical season ended, but not before representing MiraCosta and the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference in a positive way.  The Spartans finished third in the state, an accomplishment especially notable because the head coach, Andrew Bennett, was just hired in June and only had a short time to recruit the current roster.

Hiring Bennett marks an important milestone for the MiraCosta beach volleyball program.  In the past 11 years the indoor and beach programs were led by the same coach.  Starting in June of 2023, MiraCosta made the important decision to hire different coaches to lead the indoor and beach volleyball programs.  This split allows for beach volleyball athletes to train the entire year.

The Spartans finished second in conference and then went on to host a regional playoff, where they beat Mt. San Antonio College and Santa Monica College.  Winning the regional playoff earned MiraCosta the chance to participate in the state championship at West Valley College. In the first match the Spartans lost a 3-2 decision to the eventual state champion, Feather River College.  In the second match MiraCosta beat Ventura 3-2, but it wasn't enough to move on to the state championship game.  The Spartans finished third place in the state standings.
