The Irvine Valley men's basketball team played its second exceptional game in a row.
The Lasers went on the road in an Orange Empire Conference game and defeated Riverside, 92-55.
It was the second largest win for the Lasers this season and second straight game that Irvine Valley scored more than 90 points.
IVC started the season with a 84-63 victory over College of the Desert.
In this game at Riverside, the Lasers shot 61.3 percent (38 of 62 from the field as a team), which is the best of the season.
IVC also out-rebounded Riverside, 45-26, which was its largest margin of the year.
And Irvine Valley scored an impressive 50 points in the paint.
Irvine Valley moved its record to 10-8 overall and 2-3 in conference.
Riverside, ranked No. 24 in the state, went to 11-7 overall and 3-2 in the OEC.
Irvine Valley was led by freshman forward Matt Mowers, who scored 27 points.
He went 12 of 14 from the field and made all three of his free throws.
Mowers added eight rebounds.
Sophomore forward Josiah Reed also had his best game of the year with 18 points (7 of 10 from the field) and four rebounds.
Two other players scored in double figures for the Lasers.
Freshman wing Yanis Aldeguer added 11 points and freshman point guard Allen Moser contributed 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Riverside was led by Caleb Palmer with 12 points.
It is the first time Irvine Valley has won at Riverside since the 2014-15 campaign when the Lasers came out on top, 67-59, and were led by Ronnie Harris, Jalen Hall, Chris Salas, Chris Porter and Craig Magyar.
Irvine Valley plays again on Wednesday at Orange Coast in a conference game at 6 p.m.
